Jaane Kya Baat Hui inspired from Tabu starrer Astitva ?

Labels:

As the season 2 of Bigg Boss has come to an end a new show is coming up in its place on COLORS channel. This new show is titled, Jaane Kya Baat Hui and stars Shweta Tiwari, Sanjeet Bedi and Abhinav Shukla. But it is learnt that this new show is inspired from Mahesh Manjrekar directed Astitva (2000). Manjrekar’s medium budget film starring Tabu, Sachin Khedekar and Mohnish Behl was critically well received and was a moderate success.

Our source informs, “COLORS’s new show Jaane Kya Baat Hui’s plot line goes like this - Shantanu (Abhinav Shukla) wants to make it big in music comes from London and stays with a couple (Shweta and Sanjeet). But gradually he falls in love with Shweta who gets confused whether she should stay with her husband or go with her new love. Similarities can be easily drawn upon with Manjrekar’s film that had Tabu and Sachin Khedekar playing a couple and Mohnish Behl an aspiring singer coming into their household as a music teacher for her. She ends up having a physical relationship with him and getting torn between choosing him and her brash hubby.” While no one connected with this new show was willing to offer us a comment regarding this issue, the truth probably shall be out in the open once the show gets on air soon.

Talking about jane kya baat hui with sanjit bedi

Sanjit Bedi’s glad that his new show Jaane Kya Baat Hui defies the rules of a usual soap

Are you shooting for your new show Jaane Kya Baat Hui in this turmoil?
Yes, despite the fact that the mood on the sets is very grim. It feels sad, but we have no choice since the industry has already suffered tremendously due to the strike. We were shooting that day when we heard the news; we abandoned everything and sat in front of the TV set to watch the news.

What is the storyline?
The story is that of a married couple, played by Shweta Tiwari and me. It addresses issues pertaining to marital relationships that the society must raise-the difference in societal rules for the husband and the wife. The show has a feel good look to it and the production standards are also better than what we have been seeing all this while. In fact, the producers have made an effort to keep at bay every element that viewers complain about in soaps.

And your character?
I play the husband whom I think people might hate. But the character isn’t as bad; he does love his wife. In fact, I am really excited about the role for it is very different from whatever I have done till now. The best part is that no one plays the lead in Jaane; it’s an ensemble cast and the focus is on everyone.

None of your shows after Sanjeevni did as well.
Saathiya was a great show but was lost since it was on Sahara channel. I think people liked me in Thodi Zameen aur Thoda Asmaan but it had to wrap up. But Vivaah right now is doing well. Maybe people were not able to look at me beyond Sanjeevni’s Omi, which is why they didn’t like me in intense roles.

Do you miss playing Omi?
Omi was so much fun. In fact, that character is what I aspire to be in real life. However, I don’t miss playing Omi because that phase is over for me and I have moved on. I left Sanjeevani because somewhere it veered away from the main plot and became run of the mill. And I returned when the plot became better.

What do you think of Dill Mil Gaye?
Dill Mil Gaye is a great sequel to Sanjeevni. Though I haven’t seen much of it, I am happy that Karan (Singh Grover) a part of it; is a dear friend. I am happy it’s doing as well and I often get nostalgic when I hear the Sanjeevani tune.

Forthcoming ventures of COLORS have been postponed due the unforced strike between the producers and the workers. One of the shows is Cinevistas’ Jaane Kya Baat Hui which marks the presence of Shweta Tiwari, Sanjit Bedi and Abhinav Shukla.

Our khabroo from the production house quips that, “The launch date of the show has been rescheduled to December now. It was supposed to replace Bigg Boss, but due to the long strike, everything went for the toss.”

Though the strike is over and the actors have resumed shoot, it is going to take a while for channels to start with new shows. “The team already has a good bank, but we intend to promote it more prior to start, hence the delay. We have a bank of nearly two months,” adds the source.

The show deals with extra martial affair and how the protagonist juggles between her marriage and love. The star cast includes Shweta Tiwari, Sanjit Bedi, Abhinav Shukla, Ami Trivedi, Sushil Sharma and Suhasini Mulay.

The time slot of the show will be 10:30pm.

Abhinav Shukla To Woo Shweta Tiwari In Jane Kya Baat Hui

Labels:

Abhinav Shukla of Jersey No. 10 fame will be seen in COLORS' upcoming serial Jaane Kya Baat Hui which will also star Shweta Tiwari and Sanjit Bedi...

Abhinav Shukla, better known as Arjun of SAB’s Jersey No 10 is back on the small screen with a new show, albeit on a different channel. The new serial Jaane Kya Baat Hui – to be aired on COLORS is from the house of Cinevistas, the same company that produced the SAB show.

“I am playing the role of Shantanu who hails from London and comes to India to pursue his dreams of becoming a successful musician”, explains Shukla, who participated in the Gladrags super model contest a year and a half back.

“Shantanu stays with a couple (Shweta Tiwari and Sanjit Bedi) in India and the story deals with the troubles Shantanu faces while pursuing his dream, and also about the relationship between the three of them”, says the handsome guy..

He is a light hearted guy who loves to be the center of attraction always. “It is this nature of mine that makes me fall in love with Shweta Tiwari during the course of the story. While Shweta likes me a lot, she loves her husband as well and this leads to a lot of confusion in her mind. The serial will also deal with the conflicts she faces and how she overcomes them”, quips the actor.

I have just started shooting for the promos of the show. “I am delighted to be part of Jaane Kya Baat Hui for two reasons; one is that it has a completely different storyline, and the other being I get the opportunity to work with Shweta”, says Shukla, who is a qualified engineer from the Punjab Technical University.

The show is in all likelihood going to replace Khatron Ke Khiladi – Fear Factor on COLORS. Abhinav's fans will have to wait for at least a couple of episodes for him to make an entry in the serial. After that, there will be no looking back – it will be his show all the way! Abhinav is also auditioning for a few big banner films. “But that does not mean anything. There are hundreds of actors who take part in auditions but only one gets selected. So till the time something concrete happens I am keeping my fingers crossed”, concludes the actor.

"I always dreamt of becoming an actor"- Sanjit Bedi

Labels: ,

Model-turned actor Sanjit Bedi would soon be seen pairing opposite Shweta Tiwari in Cinevista's Jane Kya Baat Hui to be aired on Viacom 18, a new channel to be launched in June. Sanjit feels that he has got immense 'Prerna' after working along side Shweta Tiwari and veteran Suhasini Mulay in the soap.

You and Shweta Tiwari would be seen together for a show titled Jane Kya Baat Hui to be aired on the upcoming Viacom 18 channel. Can you elaborate on your character?

See I can't elaborate about my character at this point of time. I think this is not the proper time to tell anything, there is still time for the show to come on air. I want to tell just one thing that this is a pretty amazing character. After some days it will be known to all.

Veteran actress Suhasini Mulay will also be part of the show. How was it working with her?
I call Suhasiniji as Su Maa. She is like my friend and I am very close to her. She is someone whom I love so much. I did my first serial with her and she is the most fantastic human being. Actually I always look forward to working with people who love their work. The same goes with Shweta Tiwari who is always involved with her job and she is very cooperative too. She is the one who really inspires her fellow actors to concentrate hard on one's character.

What is your character in this serial?
Actually I am acting as Shweta's husband
in this serial and it's a very good experience to work with her.

How close is the character to your real life?
Not a single bit. My character does not match at all with my real life. This is quite different from my real world.

How did you start your career?
I started my career as a model and started my career walking on ramps. After that, theatre happened which helped me in enhancing my acting skills.

What was the first compliment you got after becoming a celebrity? How did you feel at that time?
The first compliment I got from one of my fans was that acting came to me naturally. I was really happy to hear it as before that, my theatre buddies had complained that I never knew to act. But after watching me in Sanjivani, the same guys were astonished and complimented me to be a natural actor.

Do you plan to do television or you want to do films also?
I want to do everything in my life. Even if it is television, films, theatres, modelling etc. I want to achieve success in all the fields which are related to acting.

What kind of films do you want to do?
Like I already said I want to succeed in every field related to acting. Likewise I would love to experiment with different kind of characters. Personally I would love to work in commercial masala films.

What one change you would like to bring in television?
I would like to remove all those people from the industry who do not know their work but are been hired by producers by channels. They just spoil the whole working system of our industry.

You always wanted to be an actor? If not an actor what would you have been?
See, since my childhood I always dreamt of becoming an actor, so I have never really thought what else I would have been.

Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
After five years, I would like see myself at the peak of my acting career having played lots of different and interesting characters.

Any other projects you are working on?
There are lots of talks going on, but it would be too early for me to quote anything about those projects.
